It is said we sleep and work two thirds of our lives. Therefore, it is important to invest in a comfortable mattress and a stimulating career. Or we could sleep on the job but that is not advisable! Furthermore, adults are encouraged to do some type of physical activity every day. Therefore, it is worth our while to find exercise that we enjoy.
Fitness is for you, nobody else. Don’t conform to the norm. It’s time to think outside the box. It’s time to think for yourselves and find an activity that you enjoy.
New Year is the time for resolutions. We set goals which we want to achieve this year. More often than not, those resolutions are centred around health and fitness. Gym memberships soar this time of year.
It is easy to follow the crowd and sign up to our local gym, knowing fine well we’ll never get our monies worth. It is estimated that we waste millions of pounds a year on unused memberships. However, gyms aren’t the only way to get fit. If you don’t like them or don’t use them, then don’t join them. Find another activity you enjoy. That could be anything, from power walking to hill walking to walking football. There are so many more enjoyable and cheaper ways to get fit.
We may all set different goals this year, some of us might not have any. But when it comes to fitness, there is only one goal that you need; that is goal is enjoyment.
